Jigs and Tooling Engineer - Exciting Opportunity at a Leading Aerospace Manufacturer
Are you an experienced Tools Development Engineer with a passion for metrology and manufacturing engineering? Our company is seeking a talented individual to join as a Jigs and Tooling Engineer to support the ramp-up at our Broughton plant.
As the Jigs and Tooling Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful industrialization of SA Jigs and Tools Requests and supporting projects. Your role will involve creating, developing, and modifying jigs and tools until final acceptance and handover to the operations team. You will also collaborate with R&D to integrate requirements and support the company's industrial vision.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Design and specify Jigs and Tools assets based on requirements.
2. Contribute to CDT MFT for production investigations using your tooling and metrology skills.
3. Interpret aircraft design models and communicate information to operations and support teams.
4. Define certification, re-certification, qualification, and re-qualification processes, features, and schedules.
5. Conduct technical assessments of Jigs and Tools and produce acceptance reports.
6. Manage design and manufacturing data sets for Jigs and Tools assets.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a manufacturing and engineering environment.
* Knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, Design, and Business Information Systems.
* Experience with aircraft production, engineering methods, and procedures.
* Understanding of interactions between Manufacturing Engineering and other business functions.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Leadership qualities and a self-motivated approach.
