At Sense Scotland, we take immense pride in the support we provide individuals, and are currently seeking a reliable Part-Time Cleaner who would be keen to help keep individuals homes clean and safe so that they can focus on achieving their ambitions and living their best lives.
We support 8 adults in one large shared home in Finglassie. Each individual has their own complex needs including visual/hearing impairment, physical and learning disabilities and require day-to-day support from a large team of Support Practitioners.
If you are an experienced cleaner with a strong work ethic, organised approach a keen eye for attention to detail and have values that match our own, this could be the role for you.
About the role
As a valued team member, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, welcoming, and safe environment for the people we support and our colleagues. This role involves managing cleaning equipment responsibly and ensuring hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness in designated areas to create a safe and comfortable environment.
* Operate and manage cleaning equipment, chemicals, and materials in accordance with COSHH regulations.
* Undertake specific cleaning duties, including litter picking, weeding, and winter tasks such as gritting entrances and pathways.
* Respond promptly and efficiently to spillages and urgent cleaning needs.
* Adhere to cleaning schedules and perform additional tasks as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor.
Working Hours
Role is for 25 hours per week over 5 days. Shift pattern typically 10am-3pm, however there is room for flexibility and agreements around this which can be discussed at interview.
About You
* Prior experience in cleaning services or a similar role is desirable.
* Team player with effective communication skills.
* Knowledge of infection control practices and COSHH procedures.
* Skilled in safe manual handling techniques and safety standards.
* Flexible and adaptable, able to work on public holidays and during events that may require extra cleaning support.
