Role Overview:
To expand our UK and Ireland infrastructure and transportation markets, we are seeking a Market Director to join our team. Working alongside our Senior Market Director, you will oversee the growth of our client and contractor portfolio across sectors such as bridges, structures, ground engineering, civil/underground engineering, highways, marine, and rail.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Growing business development activities across the UK and Ireland to meet growth targets.
2. Building and maintaining effective networks with clients and partners.
3. Identifying early opportunities to increase our project pipeline and success rate.
4. Updating the UK Pipeline for focus areas and managing the Go / No Go process.
5. Leading bid processes for major and regional projects, collaborating with technical teams and Bid Support.
6. Developing and executing bid-winning strategies, including commercial offerings.
7. Delivering high-quality proposals.
8. Managing key accounts and frameworks, ensuring customer satisfaction.
9. Participating in COWI UK's market leadership team.
10. Supporting business growth strategies and action plans.
11. Identifying technical development needs and communicating them to management.
12. Collaborating with UK and Group market teams to share knowledge.

Additionally, you will have:
* Experience as an engineer or chartered engineer in consultancy, contracting, or client-side roles.
* Business development experience in engineering sectors.

* An established network of industry contacts in the UK and Ireland.
* Understanding of legal, contractual, and financial issues.
* Excellent relationship-building skills with clients and partners.
* Experience in developing major proposals and market initiatives.
