Dudley Council's Home Improvement Service is a multi-disciplinary team located within the Housing directorate of Dudley Council.The work we do enables both vulnerable and disabled people to remain living independently and safe and warm in their homes.We do this by assisting them with building work to either adapt or repair their homes together with the supply and installation of domestic lifts and hoists and other forms of equipment. We also provide support for residents through the council's Energy Advice line.
We are looking for a Project Manager/Surveyor to join our friendly team.
The Role
A Project Manager/Surveyor is required to help maintain all our key functions in supporting property management and our work programmes.
We are looking for candidates with both pre-and post-contract experience with a knowledge of the standard forms of contract, who will be required to provide a range of financial skills from estimating and cost planning right through to contractual payments

The successful candidate is likely to: -
Have relevant experience in their chosen field.
* Have high levels of self-motivation and be an enthusiastic, responsible team player, who is committed to high standards of professionalism and customer care and able to work unsupervised on several projects concurrently and perform well to targets and deadlines.
* Have excellent communication skills at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
* Be able to negotiate and resolve both complex and contentious situations, either site based or contractual.
* Be working towards or have a relevant degree level qualification.
* The successful candidate to evidence effective management or leadership and knowledge of performance management and strategic contributions to project delivery.
The job is for a full-time post working 37 hours a week.
Salary Grade 10 - £41,511-£44,711
