Welcome to Sole Club… almost! We are a new (and top secret) food restaurant that will serve a sea to table experience on one menu, and on the other? The best of classics combined with chef techniques, affording a truly new wave of takeaway eating. Our new food concept is a defining moment for our group as we begin exploring new horizons and celebrating the land and sea on which we live — working with local suppliers, products and ensuring that no daily menu is too much of the same. Our dining concept celebrates locality, community and comprises a large centralised table that makes for a perfect escape in the centre of Glasgow's West End. Refined and discreet, you will find the heart of sole. As a chef, you will become an integral member instantly as you join the team defining the future of a fresh new brand, is an extremely challenging yet rewarding role. We are currently seeking an experienced Chef de Partie who is an enthusiastic and driven individual, to join the new team at Sole Club. Duties of a Chef de Partie at Sole Club: Culinary Creativity: Contribute to the creation of innovative and exciting dishes, keeping in line with the restaurant's unique concept of six-course themed tasting menus. Station Management: Oversee a specific section of the kitchen, such as meat, fish, pastry, or sauce, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and within the designated time frame. Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to Commis chefs and other kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Quality Control: Maintain strict quality standards for food preparation, presentation, and taste, ensuring that each dish leaving the kitchen is of the highest caliber. Menu Development: Collaborate with the head chef and culinary team in creating new menus, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Kitchen Operations: Assist in organizing and optimizing kitchen operations, including stock control, ordering, and minimizing food waste. Health and Safety Compliance: Uphold strict health and safety standards, ensuring the kitchen and workstations are clean, organized, and hazard-free. Training and Development: Participate in the training and mentoring of junior kitchen staff, helping them develop their skills and expertise. Problem Solving: Proactively address any kitchen-related challenges or issues that may arise during service, maintaining efficiency and quality under pressure. Continuous Improvement: Seek opportunities to improve recipes, techniques, and kitchen processes to enhance the overall dining experience. Collaboration: Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service and seamless communication between the kitchen and the dining area. Menu Execution: Ensure precise execution of each dish on the menu, maintaining the integrity of the culinary vision. Adherence to Standards: Follow all established standard operating procedures, maintaining the restaurant's reputation for excellence. Creativity: Contribute to the ideation of new dishes and techniques, adding a personal touch to the menu while still adhering to the restaurant's brand and concept. Guest Interaction: Occasionally engage with guests, explaining dishes or responding to any culinary inquiries, providing a memorable dining experience.
