Technician and MOT Tester Needed in Bolton
1. Location: Bolton
2. Working Hours: 43 hours per week, Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm, Sat until 12:30pm (1 in 3 Saturdays off)
3. Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Our client, a popular and well-established family-run garage in Bolton, is seeking a qualified Technician and MOT Tester to join their team. With a well-equipped workshop and a team of experienced technicians, our client offers a great working environment. They specialize in Car Repairs, Servicing, Hybrid & EV vehicles, and have 9 bays across two locations, providing ample opportunity for growth and development.
Key Responsibilities as a Technician / MOT Tester:
4. Service, maintain, and repair a variety of vehicles, including hybrid and EV models
5. Conduct MOT tests in line with regulatory standards
6. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults
7. Ensure high-quality repairs and maintenance services
8. Work effectively with other team members to meet service targets and customer satisfaction
9. Follow all safety procedures and workshop guidelines
10. Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients
What We’re Looking For in a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester:
11. Strong experience as a Technician, with a valid MOT testing qualification
12. Experience in car repairs, servicing, and diagnostics
13. Ability to work on hybrid and electric vehicles is advantageous
14. Excellent communication skills and a strong team player
15. NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
16. Full UK driving licence
