Blueprint Subsea is a small, dynamic, technology company, designing and manufacturing a range of specialist acoustic subsea sensors, sold internationally into offshore, search-and-rescue and military markets. We are seeking a proactive and analytical Production Planner to play a key role in improving our ability to deliver products to our customers.
This is not a traditional planning role. You will initially work hands‑on with sales and manufacturing data, but with a clear mandate to evolve and improve our planning processes as our ERP system (Odoo) matures. You will sit at the intersection of Sales, Production, and Supply Chain, ensuring that customer demand is translated into realistic, efficient, and deliverable production plans.
Key Responsibilities
* Translate prioritised Sales Order demand (captured in ESPO CRM) into Manufacturing Orders within Odoo ERP.
* Develop and maintain production schedules, aligning manufacturing capacity with customer priorities, including managing the impact of change of customer priorities.
* Incorporate supply chain constraints, including purchased item lead times and expected delivery dates.
* Identify risks to delivery schedules and proactively communicate and resolve issues across teams.
* Collaborate closely with Sales, Production, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment and clarity.
* Continuously improve planning processes, tools, and data structures as systems evolve.
* Support the transition from manual planning activities to more automated, system‑driven workflows.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
* Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work with complex datasets and dependencies.
* Experience in production planning, operations, supply chain, or similar roles.
* Ability to understand and translate business demand into structured plans.
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail and time management.
* Confident communicator, able to work across multiple teams and priorities.
* Proficiency in standard office tools (e.g. Microsoft 365/Excel) and web‑based software interfaces (e.g. ESPO / Odoo).
* A proactive, problem‑solving attitude with a drive to improve processes — not just follow them.
* Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
Desirable Skills
* Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. Odoo or similar).
* Familiarity with manufacturing environments and production workflows.
* Experience working with data manipulation, planning tools, or basic automation.
* Understanding of supply chain dynamics and inventory planning.
