Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Mechanic/Technician (Level 3 Minimum) to join our team at Keighley Road, Halifax. As a Mechanic/Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to vehicle maintenance and repair. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical knowledge and a passion for working on vehicles.
Responsibilities
* Perform vehicle diagnostics using schematics and diagnostic equipment
* Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
* Repair and replace vehicle components including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
* Weld and assemble vehicle parts as needed
* Conduct equipment repairs and maintenance
* Use hand tools and power tools to complete tasks efficiently
* Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns and answering questions
* Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Vehicle Mechanic/Technician or in a similar role
* Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
* Ability to weld and assemble vehicle parts
* Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues
* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
* Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
