APD (Advisory and Programme Delivery) unit delivers project, programme & commercial management, and advisory solutions across built environment, defence, energy, water, environmental, transportation, health and care sectors. Our services include programme management, project management, project controls, scheduling, cost management, estimating, infrastructure finance, management consulting, digital consulting and education, health and care management.
Responsibilities
* Analytical skills to prepare and critically evaluate performance measures (including earned value) and trends across multiple datasets.
* Identify key issues and drive mitigating or recovery actions across the project.
* People management and task facilitation.
* Implement robust project controls processes and toolsets in relevant industries.
Qualifications
* Due to the nature of the role, offers may be conditional upon obtaining the appropriate level of security clearance.
* Experience on large-scale infrastructure projects in sectors including water, transport, nuclear, defence.
* Degree level education and/or a project controls or management qualification (e.g., APMG Planning and Controls, EVM, PMQ, Prince2).
* Flexibility to travel and work in different sectors and with various clients.
* Risk management and reporting including the use of ARM.
* Knowledge of Primavera (P6) or Microsoft Project and/or other planning and resourcing software; creating and maintaining project schedules aligned with requirements.
* Ability to reduce uncertainty on projects by adapting project methodology; project reporting and KPI monitoring; undertaking project reviews.
* Strong stakeholder management; capable of coordinating with other teams and working in a client environment.
Preferred But Not Required
* Support project managers in maintaining effective and timely change management processes.
* Monitor and consolidate project plans; PMO experience.
* Knowledge or experience using PowerBI.
