What does a Claims Manager do?

The Claims Manager reports to the Head of Underwriting and Claims Operations and is responsible for the customer claims journey from start to finish, ensuring accurate and timely assessment of key protection claims and providing support through our HALO Claims service. Managing a team of Claims Specialists, you’ll ensure the team works within the technical governance framework, provide performance feedback, support training and development, and promote Guardian’s growth through the customer claims experience.


Who are we looking for?

* Experience handling all aspects of Life, Critical Illness, and Disability protection claims.
* A real passion for great customer service and improving the customer journey.
* Desire to develop those around you.
* A proactive and collaborative nature.
* The ability to navigate ambiguity and work with colleagues across the business to drive improvements in the claims proposition.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Strong planning and organisational skills.
