As a Learning Specialist at Yeo Valley, you will play a critical role in diagnosing capability needs, designing high-quality learning solutions, curating relevant content, and supporting impactful development across the business.
This role requires strong capability in learning design, digital learning, stakeholder partnering and content curation, supporting a culture of continuous improvement and co-ownership.
The primary focus of the role is the design, curation and development of learning solutions and pathways, with approximately 70% of time focused on learning design and content development, and 30% supporting facilitation and delivery activities.
Key responsibilities:
1. Design and develop blended learning solutions using sound instructional design principles, including digital, virtual and face-to-face learning.
2. Curate and organise internal and external learning content into structured role-based learning pathways aligned to business priorities and capability needs.
3. Design and produce practical digital and video learning content, including explainers, skills demonstrations, assessments, and toolkits.
4. Conduct learning needs analysis to identify capability gaps and recommend appropriate learning solutions.
5. Partner with People Partners, managers and site leaders to align learning solutions with operational and strategic priorities, supporting capability growth across the business.
6. Facilitate engaging and inclusive virtual and face-to-face workshops and learning sessions.
7. Evaluate learning effectiveness and continuously improve learning solutions using learner feedback, insight and performance data.
8. Maintain awareness of emerging L&D practices, digital learning trends and instructional design approaches.
Sounds interesting, what do I need?
9. Proven experience designing blended learning solutions within an FMCG environment.
10. Strong understanding of instructional design principles and the full learning development lifecycle.
11. Experience curating internal and external learning content into structured learning pathways and journeys.
12. Experience creating practical digital and video-based learning content.
13. Familiarity with lightweight video and digital content tools such as Camtasia, Riverside, Adobe Express or similar platforms
14. Experience facilitating both behavioural and technical learning interventions.
15. Strong facilitation skills with the ability to engage a range of audiences.
16. Ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders across operational and support functions.
17. CIPD Level 5 qualification, or equivalent L&D professional qualification.
18. Confident using Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
19. Effective written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
