About the role
The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) is the organisation through which the Mayor of London exercises his role as the Police and Crime Commissioner for London and is led by the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime. MOPAC undertakes a broad range of statutory duties and works closely with the Mayor of London, Deputy Mayor and Metropolitan Police Service to deliver the priorities that will create safer London communities.
MOPAC are looking to recruit an Accountant to work with a variety of stakeholders within the organisation. Supporting the Finance Business Partners in ensuring the effective financial management of complex budgets, you will be responsible for elements of the production of annual statutory financial accounts, annual budget and monthly forecast reports ensuring they meet the required standards and timescales.
Either a qualified or part qualified accountant you will be expected to foster good working relationships, inputting into the drafting of briefings and decisions, and other key documents in support of the Police and Crime Plan.
