Overview
A locally employed clinical lecturer (Grade SCF) in Cardiology at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
The role is part of the cross-site cardiology team and is ideally suited for doctors who have completed or are nearing completion of a higher research degree such as a PhD or MD.
Responsibilities
* Deliver 50% clinical sessions including cardiac catheter laboratory lists, echocardiography, outpatient and inpatient care.
* Participate in GIM on-call rota and cardiology on‑calls.
* Provide supervised outpatient clinics and MDTs.
* Support the increasing research work of the service with projects that involve remote monitoring, novel technologies, and AI.
* Develop your own independent research programme.
* Perform duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances with colleagues where practicable.
Qualifications
* Completion or nearing completion of a higher research degree (PhD or MD).
* Medical registration with the General Medical Council.
* Clinical experience in cardiology, including cardiac catheterisation, brady pacing, and cardiac imaging (preferred).

* Eligible for indemnification by the Trust for all NHS work undertaken.
* Required to complete a health questionnaire and attend a health interview with Occupational Health.
* Must never undertake duties outside your area of skill; seek clarification from senior staff.
* Disclose data only to authorised persons; breach of confidentiality may result in disciplinary action or dismissal.
* Employment subject to a six‑month probation period.
* Some roles may require weekend shifts at multiple sites.
* All duties must be carried out under supervision or within Trust policy and procedure.
