Join Our Team as a Highway Inspector!
Are you ready to make a difference in your community? We’re on the lookout for a passionate Highway Inspector to join our Northamptonshire Highways team, based in either Brixworth or Wellingborough. In this hands-on role, you’ll play a vital part in maintaining and protecting our local highways through regular safety inspections, both on foot and by vehicle. Your keen eye will help identify defects and ensure the right maintenance measures are in place.
Location:
Brixworth/Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Hours:
37.5 hours per week - with some flexibility available. Just let us know your preferences when you speak with us!

Your Responsibilities:
As a Highway Inspector, you’ll be an integral part of our Asset Management and Professional Services team. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
* Conducting walked and driven safety inspections of the highway network.
* Recording inspection findings through our asset management system.
* Preparing work packs for defect rectification.
* Managing your own programme of monthly inspections.
* Contributing to an inclusive workplace where wellbeing and diversity are valued.
What We’re Looking For:
This role is perfect for you if you:
* Have a GCSE level education or equivalent qualification.
* Bring experience in the highway maintenance sector or a similar field.
* Have experience conducting highway safety inspections and hold a LANTRA accredited Highways Inspection certificate.
* Are organised, proactive, and capable of managing your own workload effectively.
