Purpose and Scope of the Role
Tetra Tech is seeking a Utility Surveyor to deliver underground utility surveys across infrastructure and development projects. You will work independently and as part of a collaborative team, using GPR, EM and GNSS equipment to capture accurate field data and produce PAS 128-compliant deliverables. Projects range from small commissions to multi‑site programmes, requiring strong technical judgement, client interaction on site and clear outputs through Autodesk and GIS platforms.
Your Impact in this Position
In the short term, you will contribute reliable survey data and strengthen delivery across active projects. In the medium term, you will build confidence in managing surveys with limited supervision and broaden your exposure across sectors. Longer term, this role offers a clear route towards Senior Surveyor level, with structured progression, regular review points and increasing responsibility on technically complex work.

Qualifications and Training
You should have 2 to 5 years’ experience in utility surveying, with proven competence using GPR and EM equipment, a good understanding of PAS 128, experience with AutoCAD or similar software, and a full UK manual driving licence. Training and development will support continued progression.
Work Patterns and Locations
This is a field‑based role with travel to project sites as required. A company vehicle, paid travel and competitive benefits are provided. Hybrid, remote and flexible working arrangements may be discussed in line with project and operational needs.
