Becoming a Project Coordinator within the Operational Systems Support Group (OSSG) at Sainsbury's means playing a pivotal role in the smooth running of logistics systems that underpin the operations of both Sainsbury's and Argos. You will work at the heart of a dynamic team, collaborating with tech project and delivery managers, logistics partners, and cross-functional colleagues. This is an opportunity to influence decision-making, drive operational efficiency, and contribute to the ongoing success of our logistics division. Please note, this is a field based and home role which will require the post holder to travel across our logistics fulfilment network as and when required.

What you'll do
* Collaborate with the project manager to meticulously plan, schedule, and coordinate project activities to ensure timely delivery.
* Monitor project progress and deadlines, proactively identifying and addressing any deviations to keep projects on track.
* Prepare project documentation, detailed project plans, insightful status reports, and accurate meeting minutes.
* Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration between project team members, stakeholders, and external vendors to foster alignment and drive project success.
* Track project resources ensuring each project has the right level of SME support whilst managing multiple projects.
* Champion effective risk management and issue resolution strategies, promptly escalating and resolving any challenges to minimise project disruptions and maintain momentum.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management practices by actively supporting the implementation of best practices and process enhancements.
* Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
* Track project progress and update stakeholders on milestones and deliverables.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Essential Qualifications and Skills
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in project coordination or a related field.
* Solid understanding of logistics systems and supply chain processes.
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with strong attention to detail.
* Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Experience with project management methodologies and tools is advantageous.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
