Our stunning care home, Grappenhall Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built 70-bed facility located in Warrington, Cheshire. The home provides the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care to residents with various needs, including residential, nursing, and dementia care. We invest in the latest technology and offer a purposeful program of daily activities and gentle exercise to enhance residents' wellbeing. All team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, with full induction and ongoing training provided by our in-house trainers in conjunction with the New Care Academy. We pride ourselves on a permanent staff team, with no agency staff use for over 5 years, ensuring continuity of care from staff who know and residents who trust them. All staff are paid at or above the national minimum wage.
We are seeking a caring, motivated, and experienced Head Housekeeper to oversee and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the home, in line with the New Care specifications. This is a 40-hour contract with an hourly rate of £13.20. Shift times are 0800-1630, with alternate weekend working.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Contribute to achieving the home’s standards for housekeeping.
2. Undertake general cleaning tasks.
3. Manage, allocate duties, and supervise the housekeeping team to ensure quality service delivery during each shift.
4. Promote best practices throughout the team.
5. Complete all orders in line with company policy.
6. Implement a full deep clean schedule.
7. Ensure the working environment is hazard-free and be aware of risks when using equipment.
8. Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults the post holder is responsible for or contacts.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Background in commercial cleaning within a hotel, care, or hospital environment.
2. Experience managing a team of housekeepers.
3. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
4. Experience in auditing, stock control, and legislation such as COSHH.
