Senior Systems Design Engineer at Solid State PLC
What You Will Be Doing
As a senior systems design engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating and interpreting project technical requirements, designing hardware solutions from concept through to qualification, ensuring all customer needs are met, and supporting key project milestones such as Design Reviews. You will develop and maintain detailed design documentation, support prototype development, collaborate with external suppliers, and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and systems.
What We Are Looking For
* Degree or equivalent in an engineering related field, or significant relevant experience in a similar role
* Proven track record designing hardware solutions within a Systems Engineering environment, ideally related to defence, aerospace, or industrial sectors
* Extensive knowledge of electrical, electronic, and computer components and systems
* Experience designing solutions for harsh environments, including shock, vibration, and thermal extremes
* Strong understanding of EMC principles and Mechanical Engineering fundamentals
