Senior Estimator (WITH CAREER DEVELOPMENT TO PRE CONSTRUCTION DIRECTOR)
Salary circa £80,000 - £100,000 + package (depending on experience)
HYBRID WORKING - 3 Days WORK FROM HOME + 2 DAYS OFFICE
Midlands £45m business - CIVIL ENGINEERING
Senior Estimator needed to manage the pricing civil engineering schemes valued typically between £1m - £10m. Usual sizes are around £2m - £4m and consist of:
* Earthworks and any remediation
* Foundations, drainage, concrete structures, utilities in /out
* Balancing Ponds, attenuation tanks, etc
* Concrete yards and floors
Hybrid role – WFH 3 days a week
* Pricing and managing tenders within a team of Estimators
* First Principles Estimating
* Building project BIDS
* Dealing with a very established Blue Chip client base
* Reporting to the Estimating Director
* Working for a very well-established respected business
Core Duties:
* Take receipt of tenders from clients and oversee the full pre-construction process
* Oversee pre-construction testing and modelling phase
* Price tenders from first principles
* Communicate value engineering with Operational, Technical and Engineering heads
* Manage the workload through and for the existing Estimating team.
* Plan the best to way to execute the build of the project, including earthworks, remediation, excavation, groundworks, concrete internals and externals and finishing works, etc
* Time will be spent roughly 70% on Estimating and 30% on preconstruction management
* Pricing schemes valued between £1m-£4m typically with an occasional larger tender at approximately £8m.
