The Opportunity
We’re looking for an inspiring Mental Health Clinical Lead to oversee and develop our onsite Mental Health services across Bupa Health Clinics.
You will provide clinical leadership, drive quality and governance excellence, and help shape the strategic direction of our growing onsite Mental Health service. This role combines leadership responsibilities with clinical practice, offering the chance to influence service design while staying connected to front-line care.
What You’ll Be Doing
Clinical Leadership
1. Provide strong clinical leadership to our Lead Onsite Therapist team
2. Drive clinical performance, quality improvement and compliance
3. Support and help deliver Bupa’s Mental Health strategy
4. Foster a positive, values-led clinical culture
5. Deputise for the Clinical Head of Mental Health when required
6. Lead regular clinical sessions as part of your role
Clinical Governance & Quality
7. Develop and deliver an effective clinical assurance audit programme
8. Oversee clinical policies, procedures and risk management
9. Ensure robust investigation of incidents and complaints
10. Promote learning through Datix, RCA and quality improvement activity
11. Maintain high safeguarding (Level 3 Adults & Children) practice standards
Professional and Workforce Development
12. Support CPD programmes and clinical education across the service
13. Provide one‑to‑one leadership and clinical reviews for Lead Therapists
14. Champion clinician wellbeing, development, and extended skills
Customer Experience
15. Monitor and improve customer experience across onsite Mental Health services
16. Support complaint resolution and trend analysis
17. Promote connected care pathways to enhance customer outcomes
Business Support & Development
18. Work closely with account managers, sales, marketing and product teams
19. Provide clinical expertise for tenders, pitches, media and content
20. Support new service development and commercial opportunities
Communication & Engagement
21. Build effective communication channels between clinical teams and leadership
22. Use technology and new methods to share updates, knowledge and insights
Who We’re Looking For
You’ll need to be one of the following:
23. Chartered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist
(Doctorate, BPS accredited + HCPC registration)
OR
24. Accredited CBT Psychotherapist
(Postgraduate diploma accredited by BABCP)
OR
25. Accredited Counsellor / Psychotherapist
(Recognised Level 4+ diploma accredited by BACP)
Plus:
26. Strong leadership and relationship‑building skills
27. Significant experience working within Mental Health services
28. Experience managing quality standards, audits, risk, incidents & complaints
29. Excellent communication, influencing and decision‑making skills
30. Ability to balance clinical, operational and commercial viewpoints
31. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving healthcare environment
