Senior .NET Developer - Manchester | Hybrid | £55,-£65, DOE
We're working with a fast-growing tech company based in the heart of Manchester, building innovative digital solutions that power some of the UK's leading brands. Their culture is collaborative, forward-thinking, and driven by a passion for clean code, scalable systems, and continuous improvement.
They're looking for a Senior .NET Developer to help design, develop, and deliver high-performance software solutions that make a real impact.
Requirements:
1. Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable applications using C# and .NET (Core/6/7).
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams - product managers, designers, and other engineers - to deliver high-quality solutions.
3. Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and SOLID principles.
4. Contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmaps.
5. Mentor and guide mid-level and junior developers within the team.
6. Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies.
7. Stay ahead of emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance performance and maintainability.
Technologies:
8. Languages & Frameworks: C#, .NET Core/6/7, ASP.NET, Entity Framework Core
9. Frontend (nice to have): React, Angular, or Blazor
10. Database: SQL Server, Azure SQL
11. Cloud & DevOps: Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps)
12. Tools & Practices: REST APIs, Microservices, TDD, Git, Agile (Scrum)
Essentials:
13. 5 years of commercial experience in .NET development.
14. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design patterns.
15. Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure).
16. Familiarity with modern development practices such as CI/CD and automated testing.
17. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
18. A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a passion for technology and learning.
Desirables:
19. Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Blazor).
20. Knowledge of microservices architecture.
21. Exposure to event-driven systems (e.g. using RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus)
