The Role As our Data Protection and Compliance Assistant, you'll be a key member of the Legal Team, supporting the organisation's adherence to data privacy laws, including GDPR. You'll work closely with the General Counsel and Compliance Officer, as well as hotel and support teams, to manage data protection requests and incidents. This role is crucial in ensuring the privacy and security of our guests' and employees' information.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage Data Subject Requests: Handle requests such as access, rectification, erasure, and the right to be forgotten, ensuring timely and compliant responses.
* Process Law Enforcement Requests: Manage and track Data Access requests from law enforcement agencies, ensuring they are legitimate and fulfilled according to legal protocols.
* Manage Security Breaches: Track and manage reported security breaches, escalating incidents as needed for mitigation and prevention.
* Liaise and Collaborate: Build relationships with hotel departments and support teams to coordinate responses and ensure a unified approach to data protection.
* Support Licensing Compliance: Assist in managing licensing across the portfolio, including premises, marriage, copyright, and PRS/PPL licensing, with support from the General Counsel.
* Manage Legal Invoicing: Oversee the in-house legal invoicing process.
