Part of a Multi-National Group, Mitsui Components Europe Ltd are an established, world leading manufacturer of high spec door locking systems for the automotive industry.
MAINTENANCE ENGINEER / ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
* Starting annual remuneration: £37,986.62
* £16.02/hour + Shift Allowance (£2.40, 15% mornings/afternoons) (£4.80, 30% nights), Plus Overtime .
* Upgraded annual remuneration: £39,954.72
* Once full training is completed, and individual is confirmed as competent and able to work independently throughout shift pattern, adding value to business they will be eligible for the following pay increase:
* £16.85/hour + Shift Allowance (£2.52, 15% mornings/afternoons) (£5.05, 30% nights), Plus Overtime.
We are looking for a highly motivated, talented mechanical or electrical engineer with a keen focus on continuous improvement. In this fast paced environment, the successful candidate will play a key role in leading projects to develop production capabilities, driving and maintaining a solid foundation of Total Preventative Maintenance, whilst also providing a supporting role to production to ensure minimum downtime through dynamic fault resolution to real time problems.
The ideal candidate will have a background in the automotive industry, however experience of similar industries combined with appropriate qualifications and a professional attitude will be equally beneficial.
Whilst not essential, useful skills and qualifications for this role would include:
* Electrical/Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship / HNC / HND
* PLC / HMI Experience. Diagnosis and Resolution.
* Machine automation and Robotics
* Familiar with computerised maintenance management system
* 5s, LEAN initiatives, Kaisen etc.

The successful candidate will be expected to work a pattern of shifts (1 week afternoons, 1 week mornings, 1 week nights), following a period of training whilst working a normal day shift pattern.
