The successful candidate will be responsible for security of the school site, maintenance, cleanliness of the site, heating, health & safety, general day-to-day running of the school and help in preparing for events and exams setting up. The successful candidate is required to hold a valid driver’s licence as they would be required to travel to one of our other sites from time-to-time and also may be required to drive the school mini bus (proof of driving licence will be required during the recruitment process). Experience of a similar role is desirable but training will be provided for someone with the right skills.
The successful applicant will be required to work 37 hours per week, shift times vary (between 5am & 21:00 and varied days of the week including some weekends). You would need to be physically fit and be able to work at heights.
This key role has many aspects but will include the following:
1. Site security and safety
2. Out of hours key holder
3. Locking and unlocking
4. General property and site maintenance including redecoration.
5. Taking pride in maintaining our school site both internally and externally to a very high standard
6. Health and Safety, compliance keeping accurate health & safety records
7. Cleaning
8. Grounds maintenance
9. Operate the school's online maintenance system
10. Driving the school mini bus
11. Porterage services
