Vertpaint is hiring Level Designers
We’re looking to bring on multiple Level Designers with versatile experience, from survival horror to fast-paced action shooters. Beyond strong gameplay instincts, you’ll also need a sharp visual eye.
At Vertpaint, level design doesn’t stop at block-out prototypes. While quick iteration is key, our Level Design team often delivers the first visual pass—working closely with concept art and references to define not only how our games play, but also how they look and feel.
Must Have
* Easy to access link to Portfolio
* Several years of experience with Unreal Engine
* Gameplay Flow: Ability to create engaging, balanced spaces
* Visual Sense: Strong grasp of composition, readability, and environmental storytelling
* Prototyping: Rapid block-out, playtesting, and iteration
* Technical Ability: Level editors, scripting, and optimization skills
* Narrative Awareness: Integrating story and atmosphere into gameplay
* Collaboration: Clear communication and teamwork across disciplines
* Player Empathy: Anticipating player behavior, testing, and tuning experiences
Nice to Have
* Background in 3D Art (portfolio examples required)
* Experience on multiple shipped titles
