Job Title – Group Commercial Manager

Location – Covering all sites in Cornwall & Devon

Reports to – Operations Director

Pay – £50,000 to £55,000 plus company car plus performance related bonuses

Purpose

The Dash Group is a leading multi-service logistics, vehicle, fulfilment and storage business operating across multiple locations in the South-West. The Group includes Dash Express, Dash Fulfilment, Dash Drive, Dash Self-store, and DWN, supporting a wide range of commercial customers.

As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, customer retention, and commercial performance across the Group. This role provides leadership across sales and customer-facing functions, ensuring a joined-up commercial approach across all business units, and owning the full customer lifecycle from acquisition through to retention and growth.

This is a senior role requiring strong commercial leadership, the ability to manage multiple service lines, and close collaboration with operational teams to protect service standards and customer relationships.


Duties & Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy & Leadership

* Develop and deliver a Group-wide commercial strategy aligned with business objectives.
* Provide leadership and direction across all customer-facing and sales activity within the Group.
* Ensure a consistent commercial approach across logistics, vehicle, fulfilment and storage services.
* Act as the senior commercial point of contact for key customers and strategic opportunities.

Sales Management

* Oversee all new business sales activity across the Group.
* Set sales targets, monitor performance, and hold teams accountable for delivery.
* Maintain clear pipeline visibility and reporting across all service lines.
* Support and coach sales staff to improve effectiveness, consistency and value-based selling.

Customer Retention & Account Management

* Own the Group’s customer retention strategy, with particular focus on Dash Express and repeat commercial customers.
* Oversee contract renewals, pricing reviews, and volume retention.
* Identify risks to customer relationships and intervene proactively to improve retention.
* Drive account development, upselling and cross-selling opportunities across logistics, fulfilment, vehicle and storage services.

Customer Service

* Lead the customer service function for Dash Express from a commercial and retention-focused perspective.
* Ensure customer service activity supports:
o Proactive customer communication
o Effective issue resolution
o Protection of key customer relationships
o Retention and account growth
* Work closely with operational management to resolve service issues while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Commercial Performance & Reporting

* Track and report on key commercial metrics including:
o New business wins
o Retention
o Revenue growth
o Customer satisfaction trends
* Use insight and data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
* Support forecasting, budgeting and growth planning with senior management.

Collaboration & Governance

* Work closely with Depot General Managers and operational leaders to align commercial commitments with operational capability.
* Support the development and effective use of CRM and reporting systems across the Group.
* Ensure all commercial activity aligns with company policies, values and brand standards.


What We’re Looking For

* Proven experience in a senior commercial, sales management or business development role, ideally within logistics, transport, fulfilment, vehicle services, storage or B2B services.
* Experience managing multiple service lines or business units.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence across different teams and locations.
* A clear understanding of sales, retention, pricing and account management.
* Commercially astute with strong negotiation and decision-making skills.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building ability.
* Comfortable working closely with operational teams.
* Strong organisational, reporting and CRM capability.
* A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to drive improvement and change.
