As part of the DHL Express team with our headquarters at East Midlands Airport, we are excited to welcome an IT Administrator to our Ground Operations team to help deliver our customer promise of Excellence, Simply Delivered. We are looking for a self-motivated professional, who is people and service-focused, to join our growing Ground Operations department. The Role As an IT Administrator in our Ground Operations team, you will support a range of tasks primarily focused to support all IT functions across the business, including: IT helpdesk support, providing solutions to key stakeholders Assisting in the implementation and maintenance of IT systems and software Supporting the development of digital tools and applications for operational efficiency Assisting with data analysis and reporting to support decision-making processes Collaborating with other departments to identify technology needs and propose solutions Providing support for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues Assisting with other ground operations tasks as needed Requirements A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or relevant hands-on experience through internships or projects Understanding of IT systems and software applications, logistics and operations systems knowledge are advantageous Experience in providing helpdesk support, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and resolving user inquiries Familiarity with systems and software languages and basic coding principles (academic experience is acceptable) Strong knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux) and common applications Foundational knowledge of MS Office applications Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices Strong customer service skills, with a focus on effective communication and problem resolution The Person Knowledgeable about IT systems and digital transformation Excellent organisational and teamwork skills A creative thinker with a proactive approach to developing and implementing new ideas Strong project management and time management skills Good attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks Excellent verbal and written communication skills Able to connect with and influence other specialist departments and external service providers What you’ll get in return A competitive salary and access to a variety of excellent benefits, including a company pension scheme and private healthcare, along with valuable experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.
