Job title: Specialty Doctor in Cardiology

Salary: £59, - £95, per annum/ pro rata
Location: Milton Keynes University Hospital
The Department of Cardiology provides a secondary care service to a population of about, in and around Milton Keynes which is increasing. The department has both established and developing links with a number of hospitals including Bedford, Luton and Oxford.
Main duties of the job
Applications are invited for a Specialty Doctor in Cardiology. This is a full-time, substantive appointment consisting of
1. Up to 5x sessions per week working as a registrar level doctor on the Cardiology Ward
2. 1x session of SPA activity
3. 1-2x sessions of Ward Referrals
4. 2-3 Cardiology Clinics per week
5. 1x session per week of Cath Lab and/or Echo (when not on the Ward)
6. 1x session of MDT
7. Participation in the Weekend Ward Reg Rota on a 1:7 basis.
8. Undergraduate UBMS Medical School Teaching

17. MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
18. ALS
19. MRCP 1
20. either MRCP Part 2 written or PACES

22. Evidence of achievement of CMT competencies by time of appointment in line with GMC standards in Good Medical Practice including: -Good clinical care -Maintaining good medical practice -Good relationships and communication with patients -Good working relationships with colleagues -Good teaching and training -Professional behaviour and probity -Delivery of good acute clinical care.
23. Evidence of significant general medicine experience.
Language skills
Essential criteria
24. All applicants to have demonstrable skills in written and spoken English that are adequate to enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, which could be demonstrated by one of the following: •- applicants have undertaken undergraduate medical training in English •- applicants have scores in the academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or equivalent equal to average at least 7.5

29. Evidence of experience in a range of acute medical specialties, with experience of managing patients on unselected medical take during core medical training or equivalent
