Salary: £57,161 to £60,637 per annum for an exceptional candidate. This includes a 10% recruitment incentive
Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: Group role, working across Wakefield, Castleford and Selby Colleges
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Curriculum to join our exceptional Engineering and Motor Vehicle department at the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group!
As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for effectively and positively leading a culture of strong performance and high engagement and an environment of continuous improvement amongst your teams and all colleagues.
Reporting to the Group Director of Adult Skills, the Group Head of Engineering will lead the growth and development of all Engineering and Motor Vehicle provision across the Group, including study programmes, adult skills, higher education and apprenticeships.
You will develop a high-quality curriculum offer across all levels and programme types and ensure meaningful progression routes for all learners which meet their needs and the needs of the region’s employers.
We Are Looking For Someone Who
* Holds a professional qualification or degree in a relevant area (Level 4 or above)
* Holds a PGCE or other recognised full teaching qualification
* Holds GCSEs in English and Maths A*-C/9-4 or equivalent
* Holds a recognised Level 5 management qualification, or is willing to achieve within two years of appointment
* Has a strong track record of leading a vocational curriculum, preferably in Engineering/Motor Vehicle provision
* Is enthusiastic and eager to join us on our journey to be ‘Outstanding’ and upholding a fantastic culture
* Has significant experience of strategy development and curriculum innovation
* Is a strong networker, and is able to engage effectively with all stakeholders, including employers, and has excellent presentation skills
* Will be committed to our core values.
