About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Fleetwood this September.
This is a varied role where you will provide both 1:1 support to pupils with additional needs, as well as working within small group settings, helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 tailored support for pupils with SEN
* Support small groups of children with additional learning needs
* Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering differentiated activities
* Help manage behaviour and promote positive engagement
* Adapt resources to meet individual learning requirements
* Support pupils' emotional, social, and academic development
* Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and support staff
Requirements
* Essential: Previous experience working with children with SEN
* Understanding of needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties
* Ability to support both individual pupils and small groups
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
* Relevant TA or SEN qualification (desirable but not essential)
