About the Role
We currently have an exciting vacancy within the Housing Options Team based in Sale. In the role of a Private Rented Sector Support Officer, you will support the PRS Lead within HOST to increase the portfolio of private sector accommodation in Trafford that can be utilised for homeless households. You will also support with Sign‑ups, property inspections and monitoring of rent accounts and contribute towards the efficient and effective management of the Emergency and Temporary accommodation by liaising with the Temporary Accommodation Team and HOST Officers. You will be required to deal with enquiries that assist residents and landlords and arrange furniture packages and deliveries to the properties within the HOST portfolio.
About You
We are looking for someone who is self‑motivated and organised with experience in a similar role who has delivered high customer service standards and understands the different needs of different customers. You should have experience of working within a multi‑functional team and communicating with partners and key stakeholders with a proven track record of delivering an excellent range of services to a diverse community. You must understand the requirements of the General Data Protection legislation and principles, with a knowledge of safeguarding and safeguarding responsibilities and experience of guiding or advising on standard procedures and processes.
You must be proficient in the use of IT software packages, including databases and the use of spreadsheets, inputting and calculating with accuracy and be able to communicate effectively with clients either verbally or in writing and to establish excellent working relationships with colleagues at all levels.
You must be able to work independently under pressure and to plan and prioritise your own workload to meet own and team deadlines and changes in priority, with the ability to draft standard and non‑standard documentation using corporate templates, reports and spreadsheets, accurately, efficiently and with minimal supervision.
You must be able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative, including an ability to respond independently to unexpected problems and situations.
