Overview
Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant is to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
Job responsibilities
* Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, be aware of changes impacting care and care plans, ensure new needs are met, and amend written records to reflect variations.
* Be involved in the person-centred care planning process, implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
* Support residents with their medication requirements.
* Undertake staff supervisions and support staff with their development where required.
* Act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are addressed and concerns or complaints are escalated.
About you
To be successful, you will demonstrate the values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do. Our ideal candidate must:
* Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
* Have 2 years of experience working in a similar care environment.
* Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Have a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
* Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Qualifications
* NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, plus 2 years' experience in a similar care environment. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and a positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
