An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Service Development Team based at Penston House, Macmerry. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team and contribute to providing an excellent service. We are looking for an experienced and qualified Senior Occupational Therapist to lead and co-ordinate the provision of adaptations to meet the needs of people with disabilities and mobility issues who live in council houses.

Please Note:
All home/hybrid workers must live in the UK. Where an application for home-working is supported, it will be subject to a satisfactory trial period. Employees will be expected to attend Council offices for the duration of induction, and be on site in East Lothian workplaces, as required. Employees with a hybrid working arrangement in place will be office based and able to work from home, with permission, on an ad hoc basis.
Job Details
Working within East Lothian Council’s Housing Strategy, Policy & Performance Service, you will be responsible for the assessment, coordination and delivery of housing adaptations within ELC-owned properties.
The role ensures that, as far as reasonably practicable, the housing and accessibility needs of tenants are met, supporting people to live safely, independently and well within their homes.
You will also play a key role in ensuring the effective and proportionate use of the housing stock, contributing to meeting current and future demand for accessible and adapted housing.
