With experience from the NHS or private sector as a Senior or Lead Psychologist, you will manage a caseload involving complex needs, designing and delivering specialist psychological treatments within mental health services.
What you will be doing:
* Working 37.5 hours a week as the Lead Psychologist for a service supporting men and women with complex mental health needs.
* Providing individual and group interventions, conducting diagnostic and cognitive assessments, MDT collaboration, and risk assessments.
* Supporting clinical teams with reports to enhance engagement and develop new initiatives.
* Leading the psychology department in delivering therapies including CBT, EMDR, and DBT.
* Offering guidance, supervision, and mentoring to psychologists and assistants, with support from the Learning & Development team.
Additional responsibilities include:
* Participating in clinical and governance meetings.
* Supporting psychology services in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
* Engaging fully with the care pathway and supporting staff training.
* Developing new clinical initiatives and service improvements.
* Recruiting junior staff and developing policies for safety and risk management.
* Collaborating with external agencies to improve treatment pathways.
Qualifications and experience:
* HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist and British Psychological Society Chartership.
* Doctorate in applied psychology from a recognized body.
* Proven skills in assessment, formulation, and therapeutic work with complex cases.
* Experience with trauma and complex needs.
* Supervisory experience and knowledge of various therapeutic interventions.
