Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking to work on technically complex and high-impact projects? This is a site based role at Urenco Capenhurst, where you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary and high performing teams. Who We’re Looking For:
* Experience in a design environment (site construction)
* IT literate, with proficiency in: Trimble ProDesign/Amtech (preferred), Relux/DiaLux, AutoCAD 2D, Revit, Navisworks (preferred), and Microsoft Office
* Working knowledge of BS5839 (Fire Alarm Systems) and BS5266 (Emergency Lighting)
* Basic understanding of HV equipment, transformers, and LV switchgear assemblies
* Capable of producing cable calculations, SLDs, block and GA drawings, specifications, datasheets, registers, cable schedules, BoMs, and containment sizing
* CompEx Ex12 certification and knowledge of ATEX/DSEAR regulations (preferred)

What you’ll be doing
* Provide technical support to the contracting, commissioning, and facilities services functions, offering practical solutions, troubleshooting assistance, and expert engineering advice.
* Review projects to ensure compliance, completeness, and quality standards are met; prepare detailed reports outlining key findings and recommendations.
* Attend client and consultant meetings, present review outcomes effectively, and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
* Mentor and support junior team members, fostering professional growth and learning within a safe and collaborative environment.
* Apply engineering expertise to review and cross reference project specifications, drawings, and schedules, identifying discrepancies and assessing technical risks.
