Contract: This position comprises of 2 contracts however it is suitable for 1 person to undertake both.
Heronswood Primary and Pre-School have an exciting opportunity for a Wrap Around and Holiday Club Lead to join their team.
Key Purpose:
To lead and be responsible for the day-to-day organisation the Wrap Around Care (WAC) and Holiday Club provision at Heronswood Primary School & Pre-School providing high standards of care and play opportunities for children between the ages of 2-11 years old in a safe and secure environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
To lead, develop and support a team of staff to:
1. Nurture and encourage children, allowing them to participate and thrive within the WAC and Holiday Club provisions.
2. Plan and engage in a range of indoor and outdoor play activities.
3. Prepare for the arrival of children and tidy at the end of each session.
4. Maintain a register of children attending the WAC and Holiday Club and their location within the school.
5. Liaise with parents and carers to maintain a good level of two-way communication.
6. Maintain a safe and secure environment.
7. To ensure compliance in areas such as Safeguarding, Health and Safety, GDPR and OFSTED inspection requirements.
8. To administer basic first aid and keep records of accidents and incidents.
9. To ensure that adequate standards of safety and hygiene are maintained throughout the WAC, including the completion of appropriate risk assessments and recording and reporting of hazards and accidents.
10. Be the first point of contact for parents and carers of children using the WAC and Holiday Club. This will include giving and responding to information about each child’s experience at WAC and Holiday Club and using feedback from carers to develop the service and care provided.
11. Work with the school admin and finance staff to ensure records are kept up to date and invoices can be produced with accuracy.
12. Work with the Senior Leadership Team to lead a profitable provision which provides a great service to children and parents at a fair price.
