Senior Software Engineer (React, Typescript)
Location: Belfast (3 days per week in office)
Salary: 65-75k + bonus
A global market infrastructure organisation is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help shape the future of its digital platforms, delivering business-critical software for internal broking teams and external clients.
You'll join a high-performing Agile engineering team working on high-impact, front-end focused initiatives that power global financial markets. The role offers the opportunity to influence technical direction, build intuitive and scalable user interfaces, and contribute across the full delivery lifecycle from design through to production.

Role Responsibilities
* Design and implement front-end solutions in collaboration with solution architects and senior engineers
* Take ownership of engineering deliverables, ensuring quality, usability and best practice adherence
* Mentor and support engineers, fostering technical excellence and knowledge sharing
* Explore and introduce new technologies, frameworks and approaches where appropriate
* Communicate progress clearly and raise risks or impediments early
Experience & Skills
* Strong experience building modern web interfaces using React, TypeScript, JavaScript and HTML/CSS
* Solid knowledge of React 16+, TypeScript 4+, JavaScript ES6, JSX and HTML5
* Experience delivering consistent UX/UI across browsers
* Familiarity with component libraries such as Material UI or Ant Design
* Hands-on experience with automated testing (e2e, integration, regression) using Cypress, Selenium or similar
* Experience with build tools such as Webpack or Vite
* Understanding of front-end performance optimisation and web security best practices
* Strong appreciation of the full SDLC with involvement across design, development, QA and support
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Desirable experience includes Figma, Storybook, financial or trading platforms, AWS, C#, relational databases, and TDD or BDD practices.
