Job Description
At Totally Local Company, an opportunity has arisen for a Small Mechanical Sweeper Driver – Part time (minimum C1 license) to join our Street Care team in Stockport. The role involves street cleansing, grounds maintenance, winter duties, and operating various mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will have a C1 driving license, experience in street cleansing or horticultural standards, and the ability to work as part of a team.
Responsibilities
* Operate small mechanical sweepers and other street cleansing machinery.
* Undertake cleansing duties including sweeping, litter picking, and graffiti removal.
* Maintain grounds in various public areas, including mowing, pruning, and planting.
* Assist with winter maintenance, including gritting and snow clearance.
* Ensure health and safety standards are followed and report any issues.
* Maintain equipment and carry out safety checks.
* Contribute to a positive community environment and uphold company standards.
Skills and Qualifications
* C1 driving license with ability to drive up to 7.5 tonnes.
* Experience in street cleansing or horticultural work is desirable.
* Knowledge of health and safety practices.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
