Job Description
3. Monitor and manage project budgets to ensure financial targets are met.
4. Prepare and analyse cost reports to support decision-making processes.
5. Collaborate with project managers to forecast and control expenditures.
6. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficiency measures.
7. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with industry standards.
8. Support the accounting and finance team with month-end and year-end closing activities.
9. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
10. Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement in cost control processes.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Cost Accountant should have:
11. A strong background in a similar costing role, ideally gained within the energy, heavy industrial, or similar industry.
12. Either be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified or qualified by experience.
13. An analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
14. The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
15. A proactive approach to identifying and solving financial challenges.
