About the Role
Do you have skills and expertise to help manufacturers with their digital transformation journey? We are looking for an Engineer to join the team! In this role you will help SME manufacturing clients solve their most pressing problems using the latest digital tools and Industry 4.0 technologies. You will have the opportunity to work with external technology providers and experts within the University.
Responsibilities
* Work with the team to understand clients’ challenges, identify cutting‑edge digital technologies as solutions, and present clear recommendations for implementation. Serve as the go‑to engineer for translating these solutions into actionable recommendations and supporting technology transfer.
* Develop proof‑of‑concept and demonstrable solutions for clients, turning ideas into prototypes that demonstrate feasibility and impact.
* Design and build demonstrations that showcase the latest digital technologies to our clients, engineering exciting and engaging solutions.
* Lead digital transformation workshops, produce technical roadmaps that pave the way for success, and write impactful grant applications.
About You
The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in developing their knowledge in one or more of the following:
* AI and its applications in manufacturing
* Automation systems & robotics
* IT and OT system architectures
* Manufacturing systems (ERP, MRP, MES, and PLM)
