This is an opportunity to join a well established, design led architecture practice with a strong and growing residential portfolio in Glasgow. The residential team works across a broad mix of housing typologies, including multi unit developments, mixed use schemes, affordable housing and complex urban regeneration projects. The work is real, funded and moving forward, offering the chance to be involved in projects that progress beyond planning and into delivery. They are looking for an ARB registered architect who enjoys working through all stages of a project and wants to build long term technical and design credibility within residential architecture. This is not a concept only role. The position offers genuine exposure to planning, detailed design, coordination and site stages, with responsibility increasing as confidence and capability grows. You would be trusted to contribute meaningfully to projects rather than being pigeon holed into a narrow task set. The team is technically strong and delivery focused, with clear processes, robust QA standards and a collaborative approach to problem solving. There is a particular emphasis on producing well considered, buildable housing that responds to context, regulation and client needs. Experience with Scottish building regulations, housing standards and consultant coordination is essential for this one. Culturally, this is a practice that values professionalism, consistency and sustainability over ego. They offer an environment where people are encouraged to take ownership of their work, ask questions and develop at a steady, supported pace. The studio is large enough to provide structure, resources and varied project exposure, but small enough that individuals are known, trusted and listened to. Career development is taken seriously, with regular conversations around progression rather than vague promises. The role would suit someone who enjoys residential work and wants to deepen their expertise in this sector rather than treating it as a stepping stone. It would also appeal to someone who values collaboration, clear communication and seeing projects through from early design to completion. Proficiency in Revit and experience working within a BIM environment would be expected, along with the ability to coordinate with consultants and engage confidently with colleagues and clients. In return, they offer a stable pipeline of work, a supportive and well-run studio environment, and the chance to build a strong, credible portfolio within a respected residential team. This is a long term opportunity for someone who wants to grow, contribute and be part of a practice delivering housing that genuinely gets built.
