XDC / LGV Driver Howdens are recruiting for a LGV driver to join our team based at our new purpose-built Raunds campus in Northamptonshire. The successful applicant will ensure the safe and efficient movement to internal and external customers whilst carrying out all tasks in line with company policy and legal constraints. The successful candidate will undertake most of their duties without direct supervision and is always expected to adhere to company Health and safety standards. Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday Day Shift Additional weekend work will be required during Peak Easter and Sep/Oct What will you be doing as a LGV Driver: Deliveries to our depots (days) Weekend work required on a rotational system, with more support required through our peak period Hours of work average 50 hours p/w Full company PPE Work within the SHE guidelines Driving company performance parameters What do I need to qualify for the LGV Driver: Excellent knowledge of driver regulations/WTD Full HGV driver's licence (C / CE) Hold a valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card Minimum 2 years’ experience Work in a professional manner Undertake site inductions and training Have excellent geographical knowledge The ability to follow company SOP’s Flexible in approach to work, and work effectively as part of a team Benefits of working as a LGV Driver: Highly competitive salary and bonus Excellent pension scheme (company contribution of up to 12%) 25 days holiday bank holidays with the option to buy additional days.
