Digital Operations Engineer (EUC) Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire (hybrid working) We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Digital Operations Engineer to support and enhance our global End User Computing (EUC) environment. In this role, you will help manage endpoint platforms, strengthen our security posture, and provide third-line technical support across a modern, cloud-first digital workplace. Key Responsibilities: Platform Support: Assist with the configuration and maintenance of Microsoft Intune, including compliance policies, configuration profiles, and security baselines. Security Support: Support the maintenance and governance of endpoint security controls in collaboration with the Security team, including Defender for Endpoint policies, security baselines, and encryption settings. Identity Support: Support Entra ID device management and assist with Conditional Access troubleshooting. Patch Management: Assist with patch deployment activities for Windows (Autopatch, Windows Update for Business), drivers, and third-party applications. Monitor patch compliance and escalate issues as required. Compliance Reporting: Support the development and maintenance of compliance dashboards and reports. Monitor device compliance and produce regular reporting on patch status and security posture. Policy & Documentation: Develop and maintain runbooks, knowledge articles, and procedural documentation for support teams. Assist with policy reviews and standards documentation. Enrolment Support: Assist with Windows Autopilot, Apple Business Manager, and Android Enterprise configuration and troubleshooting. Application Management: Assist with application packaging and deployment via Intune, maintaining the application catalogue. Third-Line Support: Provide technical expertise for escalated endpoint platform issues from Desktop Support and Service Desk teams. Workplace Technologies: Support the management of wider EUC technologies including Audio Visual and print services. Vendor Liaison: Work with vendors on technical issues and support requirements. Continuous Learning: Develop expertise across the EUC technology stack and stay current with Microsoft endpoint and security technologies. Your Experience: Experience in IT infrastructure, endpoint management, or end user support roles. Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Intune or similar MDM platforms. Background supporting Windows 10/11 within global enterprise environments. Understanding of Entra/Active Directory, identity concepts, and conditional access principles. Familiarity with iOS and/or Android mobile device management. Exposure to patch management processes and enterprise IT operations. Experience collaborating with Infrastructure, Networks, Security, Helpdesk, Desktop Support, or Project teams. Awareness of IT Service Management frameworks. Your Skills: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Intune and modern endpoint management concepts. Understanding of Windows 10/11, iOS, and Android operating systems. Familiarity with Entra ID, Conditional Access, and modern identity governance. Understanding of endpoint security technologies including Defender for Endpoint. Knowledge of Windows Autopilot and modern provisioning methodologies. Understanding of patch management and update compliance workflows. PowerShell scripting knowledge (desirable for automation). Strong documentation and process development abilities. Experience with compliance reporting tools such as Intune Reports or Power BI. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Effective communication and collaboration capabilities. Desirable Qualifications: Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD‑102) or working towards certification. Experience with SCCM/MECM. Familiarity with Patch My PC or similar third‑party patch management tools. Exposure to Audio Visual or enterprise print management systems. ITIL Foundation or equivalent.
