Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable female Live-In Carer to support a friendly married couple living in the beautiful village of Burbage. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is dedicated to providing high-quality care and companionship in a warm and respectful home environment.
Travel to the placement is paid at 30p per mile, any travel during the placement is paid at 45p per mile.
Meal allowance is £45 per week
Care Times:
* Clients wake around 8:30/9:00am, clients wife currently has support from additional caregivers so support will be alongside those caregivers to ensure both clients are ready and set up for the day - assisted with personal care and breakfast
* Clients have a nap mid morning and then additional caregivers arrive at lunch time to support wife with personal care between 12.30pm-13:30pm,when they will stay for a two hour period so live in caregiver can take their daily 2 hour break.
* Caregivers will attend the property at 5pm to assist with wife and again at bedtime around 9pm.
* Live in caregiver can take their break during the extended lunch visit and will be free to leave the property at this time
* Working hours will be 10 per day on average
* Rota will be 2 weeks on, and 2 weeks off, however longer placements considered. Handover is on Mondays mid-day unless arranged otherwise
* Family would like to have a video call prior to placement, as they are all very close and wish for the live-in carer to feel part of the family
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with medication and mobility support, general well being
* Encouraging fluid intake as client has had cases of dehydration previously
* Supporting with meal preparation and maintain a clean, safe home environment
* Offer companionship and emotional support
* Escort to appointments or outings as needed

Qualifications
* Previous experience in care (preferred but not essential – training can be provided)
* Kind, patient, and empathetic nature
* Right to work in the UK
* Clear enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
* Non-smoker.
* Female Carer preferred by clients.
