The Opportunity We are currently expecting an increase in workload due to upcoming projects and are looking to recruit a Senior Piping Designer on a contract basis to support services to the highest standards complying with legal obligations and client requirements. Working with the Piping Team you will provide piping design technical support and expertise in the development of engineering design deliverables & calculations. You will be involved in the development of Concept, FEED, and Detail Design phases. Ensuring compliance with all piping work executed with company, industry and international engineering procedures, codes and standards. Key Responsibilities Provide technical expertise for the specification, design, purchase, installation and commissioning within discipline area of expertise; Provide on-going technical support to operations and maintenance departments for problems within engineering discipline; Produce, review and understand associated documentation relating to the design, installation and operation within discipline area Assist in developing solutions to technical issues, budget considerations, project schedules and safety with a project in support of project objectives; Assist in providing functional design specifications and/or datasheets for all items of equipment within discipline area, ensuring compliance with company procedures and all relevant standards; Develop and implement engineering procedures, work instructions, standards and guidance documents as applicable Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Minimum Requirements: Experience in Concept, Front End Engineering development, Technical Study and Detailed Design Knowledge of Quality systems Knowledge of safe approach in design and working practices Experience in designs to comply with the relevant standards and procedures Experience of inputting to project plans and schedules via the Lead engineer / Project Engineer accordingly Experience in site surveys. Experience in 2D AutoCad Software Previous experience producing 3D models using AutoCad Plant 3D. Ability to produce 2D Piping and Equipment plot plans from Plant 3D model. Checking of drawings.
