Job Overview
University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry to join its commissioned Head and Neck Specialist Service. The role is a core component of the service and is embedded within the multidisciplinary team (MDT).
Key Responsibilities
* Work within an established Head and Neck MDT alongside colleagues in oral and maxillofacial surgery, ENT, oncology, radiology, healthcare science and prosthetics.
* Provide joint clinics enabling coordinated patient assessment and treatment planning.
* Deliver outpatient care and treatment clinics at Poole Hospital, using three dedicated dental treatment rooms and additional clinical spaces.
* Support inpatient and complex surgical activity, which will transition to Royal Bournemouth Hospital under the Trust’s clinical model.
* Attend the weekly multidisciplinary team meeting on Tuesdays.

* Full‑time appointment of 10 Programmed Activities (PAs) or part‑time to a minimum of 0.4 WTE (4 PAs per week). Flexibility up to full time.
* A one‑off recruitment incentive of up to £20,000 available for full‑time appointments (pro‑rata for part‑time).
