East Anglias Childrens Hospices (EACH) is seeking an experienced, passionate and highly organised Groups and Events Coordinator to coordinate the planning and delivery of group activities and events to meet the needs of babies, children, young people and their families. This is a part‑time position for 30 hours per week, including some evening and weekend work.
A current valid driving licence and use of own car is essential for this role.
Responsibilities
* Utilise a variety of administrative IT programmes (including Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, SystmOne, Word & email) to organise bookings and confirm attendance at events.
* Liaise with a wide range of people, including care & facilities staff, external organisations, senior leadership, families and young people.
* Undertake risk assessments to ensure the safety of those at events.
* Liaise with external organisations to enhance the charitable offers that create a natural network of support to underpin the events.
* Support the wider team to deliver events at the hospice setting and at external venues, undertaking risk assessments, liaising with catering and facilities teams, creating flyers and text for advertising, and liaising with the marketing and communication team.

About the Candidate
* A current valid driving licence and use of own car is essential for this role
* Great organisation and communication skills
* Skill in planning and delivering groups and events
* Experience in working with babies, children, young people and families (minimum two years)
* NVQ BTEC or CACHE at level 3 in children's Health and Social Care or Care Learning and Development, or equivalent relevant experience
* Experience of coordinating a team of staff and volunteers
