Overview
JOTA Composites are currently looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented, and hands-on stores, autoclave and break out technician to join our production team and take ownership of our inventory.
In this key role, you’ll be responsible for receiving, storing, and despatching goods, ensuring that all materials are accurately recorded and readily available to support ongoing manufacturing operations. Working closely with production teams, you’ll help keep workflows running smoothly by maintaining stock accuracy, adhering to health and safety standards, and keeping the stores area clean, efficient, and well-organised.
While your primary focus will be on stores and inventory management, you’ll also play a supporting role in the wider production environment — assisting with autoclave operations, mould preparation. Key Responsibilities
* Receive and verify incoming deliveries for accuracy, damage, and compliance with documentation.
* Record stock movements using computerised inventory systems and maintain accurate stock levels.
* Store materials in designated areas in accordance with company standards and safety requirements.
* Pick, pack, and despatch goods for internal departments or external customers.
* Conduct regular stock counts, audits, and reconciliations to ensure accurate inventory records.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised stores environment in line with housekeeping standards.
* Manually load and unload parts into autoclaves and ovens, operate curing cycles as per specifications.
* Monitor equipment performance and cycle progress to ensure optimal curing conditions and safety.
* Maintain accurate process documentation for autoclave and oven operations, including cycle data, maintenance, and fault records.
* Report any equipment faults or deviations to supervisors promptly.
* Strictly adhere to all safety and operational procedures during autoclave and oven use.
* Carefully demould cured composite components, ensuring no damage to parts or tooling.
* Perform initial post-demoulding tasks such as cleaning, and preparing moulds for reuse.
* Carry out minor repairs, maintenance, and preparation of moulds before the next production cycle.
* Accurately complete production documentation, traceability logs, and quality assurance records.
* Comply with all company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
* Always wear and maintain appropriate PPE.
* Report any hazards, unsafe conditions, or near misses immediately to a supervisor.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on workplace safety and efficiency.
* Collaborate closely with production teams, such as the cleanroom, trim shop, and quality departments, to ensure smooth workflow.
* Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to align with production plans and priorities.
* Support cross-functional activities and assist with training new team members when required.
Skills & Experience
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling stock and documentation.
* Basic computer literacy (experience with inventory management software is desirable).
* Knowledge of composite manufacturing processes and autoclave operation preferred.
* Ability to read and follow technical instructions, drawings, and production schedules.
* Good manual handling skills and understanding of health and safety best practices.
* Effective communication and teamwork skills.
