About the Role
A private girls' boarding and day school in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, for students aged 11-18. Catering for about 1,050 students and staff daily, providing breakfast, lunch, and supper, as well as snacks and hospitality services across three feeding locations. This is a 7-day operation with shift patterns of 5 days over 7. The location offers free on-site parking.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our friendly team at our prestigious High Wycombe location. You will play a key role in maintaining kitchen hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with pot washing duties; experience is advantageous but not essential.
* Work effectively as part of a team.
* Support chefs with food preparation tasks.
* Maintain high cleanliness standards at all times.
* Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment, including heavy catering equipment and air filtration systems.
* Operate industrial dishwashers.
Person Specification
* Experience as a Kitchen Porter is preferred but not mandatory.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Good verbal English communication skills.
* Good written English and reading comprehension.
* Experience in customer service or food preparation environments is a plus.
