Description Enhanced Family Help Team - Social Worker | 9947 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £39,862 to £41,771 per annum | Grade J | Countywide but based primarily West and Breckland area Are you passionate about building relationships and supporting children and their families to live within the community and thrive within the family home through targeted support tailored to the needs of the family? We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, dedicated, and resilient Social Worker to join our countywide Enhanced Family Help team, with the aim to enable all children to access all support and services they need to thrive at home with their families. Ideal candidates will be committed to relationship‑based practice and supporting families across the county where long‑term concerns relating to neglect have been identified. The Enhanced Family Help Team is a smaller, specialist team who are committed to working holistically and inclusively with families to build on their strengths, assess risks, root causes and patterns of persistent, chronic neglect, and identify barriers to consistently meeting children’s needs. Through meaningful engagement with children, families, and their wider networks, we support families to develop clear, multi‑disciplinary plans that promote sustained, positive change. The team of Social Workers, Family Practitioners, a Clinician, and Home-Based Support Workers co-work with each other, universal services and families to deliver targeted and intensive support to reduce the risks of long-term neglect and improve outcomes for children. As an allocated Social Worker within the team, you will hold a case load of families where needs vary and are complex, and which sit within Child Protection and Family Support planning. You will need to be solution focussed and deliver direct work through trauma-informed interventions specific to the needs of the child, family and their network to promote safety and well-being and prevent escalation of need. You will embrace the Flourish ambition for all children as an approach that underpins your work with children and families. You will be required to travel as part of your duties, the majority of which will involve lone working with children, young people and families in their homes and community. You will be responsible for your own travel arrangements, and these must be carried out in the most effective and efficient way to perform your job. You may also be required to transport children and babies in your own vehicle. The Enhanced Family Help Team will work with children and families across the county and whilst we will endeavour to assign work in a particular area, there will be times when you will need to work across the county to support the team function.
